Isaiah Davis, David Montgomery and Malik Nabers Lead My Week 4 Anytime Touchdown Bets
With Breece Hall hurt and Nico Collins back, injuries are shaping this week's touchdown market. Isaiah Davis at +390 leads three bets I like on Sunday.
BettingThere are so many injuries this week. Guys are missing games left and right, and some are even playing through injuries with limited snap counts. While that may change the outcome of the game, it also changes the way I look for bets on who scores a touchdown. There are going to be players that are undervalued based on trends or public hype, while some will be overvalued because everyone thinks they are walking into a huge workload. Isaiah Davis: +390 on Fanatics
Braelon Allen has received all of the hype this week as Breece Hall deals with a quad injury. That is understandable because Allen was the clear backup all season. Isaiah Davis has only seen special teams snaps through three games this season. Davis entered training camp with a chance to compete for the RB2 spot, but suffered a knee injury. He now has an opportunity to show what he can do.
Allen should see a lot of touches, but he has never been the most efficient runner. He has zero explosive runs, a 16% missed tackle rate, and 3.2 yards per attempt. When we look at Davis’ first two seasons in the league, you see the opposite. He averaged 5.8 yards per attempt in 2024 on 30 rushes, and 5.5 yards per attempt last season on 43. He also received 28 targets last season, which he turned into 21 receptions and 186 yards.
The Bears offer a great matchup. They allow the ninth-highest explosive run rate, the highest rushing success rate, and the most yards before contact per attempt. Both guys should find success, but I bet we see more of Davis than expected.
David Montgomery: -120 on Fanatics
David Montgomery scored three touchdowns in week one and has been quiet ever since. People are clamoring for Woody Marks to get more opportunities, but he hasn’t. It may seem like Marks is starting to creep his way into more playing time; it’s actually the opposite. Marks’ snap share went from 51% to 48% to 37% over the last three weeks. He is actually seeing the field less.
The real reason Montgomery has been quiet is that Nico Collins was not on the field. Montgomery has seen a 77% stacked box rate, while getting hit in the backfield on 54% of his runs over the last two weeks. It’s no surprise this offense has struggled to get anything going. Without the threat of Collins, teams are stacking the box.
Well, Collins returns this week, and the Cowboys are not a good run defense. They allow the third-highest explosive run rate, the seventh-highest rushing success rate, and the eighth-most yards before contact per attempt. Montgomery should see more open space this week and provide much more value to this offense.
Malik Nabers: +210 on Fanatics
The first three weeks of the season served as a ramping-up period for Nabers. He is finally settled in after tearing his ACL last season; now he needs someone to throw him the ball. I talked about Nabers in my Week 4 DFS article, and I predicted he would find the end zone for the first time this season. I’ll do it again quickly.
Jameis Winston is holding back this offense, but is still targeting Nabers a lot. The key for Winston is a clean pocket, which he will have this week. The Cardinals have a pressure rate of 23.6%, the worst in the league. They also allow the most yards per target and the third-most fantasy points per opportunity to perimeter wide receivers. Nabers is in for a big day against the Cardinals.
