A Week 4 DraftKings Lineup Built Around a Jaguars-Bengals Shootout

A Jaguars' stack, two young running backs with solid matchups, and a lineup built around two fantasty-optimal games.

We had a pretty solid lineup in week 3 and were only a few players away from an optimal lineup. This lineup is built best for single-entry contests, but it can work anywhere, especially if you do multiple lineups and tweak it based on your own research. Week four should prove better for fantasy purposes, but finding the right matchups is the key. Here is my favorite stand-alone week 4 DraftKings DFS lineup this week, targeting key games that seem like fantasy gold mines. Read more: A Week 4 DraftKings Lineup Built Around a Jaguars-Bengals Shootout.

Week 4 DraftKings lineup: Trevor Lawrence, Ashton Jeanty, Jeremiyah Love, Malik Nabers, Rashee Rice, Parker Washington, Brenton Strange, Trey McBride, and the Rams defense. $50,000 of $50,000.
The full lineup, slot by slot, with DraftKings salaries as of Friday.

QB: Trevor Lawrence, $5,900. The Jaguars are playing the Bengals this week, and it is a phenomenal game in terms of fantasy. The total sits at 51.5, and the Bengals are favored by 2.5 points. It should be a tightly contested game with a lot of points. You could play stacks from either offense, but I went with Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars’ offense.

Lawrence is having a very solid season, with one bad game against the Broncos in week two. Aaron Rodgers torched this secondary for 292 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception last week. Lawrence has not thrown the ball more than 30 times this season, but this could be the week they have to throw the ball to stay in the game. I have a couple of his weapons, and an unlikely one, that I want to stack with Lawrence this week.

RB: Ashton Jeanty, $7,100. I’m going back to the well with Ashton Jeanty this week. He only managed 57 rushing yards and 37 receiving yards last week, which didn’t pay off based on his price tag last week. The usage is still off the charts, and the game script should prove better this week against the Chiefs.

Jeanty averaged fewer than three yards per carry over the past two weeks and has not found the end zone. This is the week he gets in the end zone. The Chiefs have allowed three rushing touchdowns over the past two weeks. Jeanty should be heavily involved and get fed the ball in both aspects of the offense this week.

RB: Jeremiyah Love, $5,800. Jeremiyah Love was unleashed last week against the 49ers. He ran the ball 21 times for 90 yards and caught a touchdown. He had five targets, five receptions for 19 yards, and played 64% of snaps. Tyler Allgeier only logged two carries last week. The Cardinals are finally believing in their first-round pick, and this is a solid matchup against the Giants.

The Giants allow the 13th-most fantasy points to opposing running backs, and there could sneakily be a lot of points in this matchup. The total sits at 44.4, but the Cardinals are only favored by 2.5 points. Love has another chance to have a great game in this surprisingly efficient offense, which is scoring 21 points per game.

WR: Malik Nabers, $6,000. On the other side of the equation in the Cardinals-Giants matchup is Malik Nabers. Nabers was back to a full workload last week against the Titans in a downpour. He had six targets, five receptions, and 26 yards. Jameis Winston is holding back this offense, and the Giants just traded for JJ McCarthy. Still, I think Nabers can have a great week if Winston can stay off his back.

The Cardinals have allowed the most yards per target and the third-most fantasy points per opportunity to perimeter wide receivers. They also have a pressure rate of 23.6%, which is the worst in the league. Winston should have a clean pocket, which bodes well for this offense. Winston struggles when pressured, but has shown effectiveness in the past with clean pockets. Nabers is in for a breakout week and potentially his first touchdown of the season.

WR: Rashee Rice, $6,400. Rashee Rice was a major factor in the Chiefs’ offense last week, and I expect it to stick. He had nine targets and caught seven for 88 yards. Rice had a 37.5% target share, 38.9% first-read share, and two red zone targets. He is walking into a matchup that he should thrive in.

The Raiders play two-high 57.5% of the time. Rice leads the team with a 21% target share against that coverage, with a 2.45 yards per route run. The Raiders have allowed the fewest yards per target and fantasy points per opportunity to perimeter wide receivers, but they have not faced tough competition. They did that against the Dolphins, Chargers, and Saints. Mahomes should find the open man, and it will likely be Rice.

WR: Parker Washington, $6,500. The first player I’m stacking with Lawrence is his favorite receiver, Parker Washington. Washington is still underpriced at $6,500, and I’m taking advantage in a fantasy-optimal situation. The Bengals have been good against the pass, except last week against the Steelers. They struggle guarding slot receivers, though. Washington leads the Jaguars’ wide receivers with a 45.6% slot rate this season. I expect Liam Coen to scheme plays for him to be in the slot so he gets the best matchup. Washington should once again eat in this matchup.

TE: Brenton Strange, $3,200. The other player I’m stacking with Lawrence is Brenton Strange. He has a 71.3% route share, a 12.3% targets share, and a 12.1% first-read share. He is also a cheap option in this format and can easily pay off his price tag. The Bengals have not allowed a tight end to find the end zone this season, but they allow the fourth-most yards per target to the position. Strange could end up being a target that Lawrence looks for this week.

FLEX: Trey McBride, $6,500. I’m putting two tight ends in my lineup this week, but McBride is an outlier. He has received at least 10 targets in each game this season from Jacoby Brissett. The Giants are middle-of-the-pack against tight ends. Terrance Ferguson had six receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown in week two against them. McBride’s volume is predictable, and he should be heavily involved again this week.

DEF: Rams, $2,600. The Eagles’ offense has been underwhelming this season. They average 18.3 points per game, which is the eighth-fewest in the league. The Rams have an interception in each game this season, and three sacks in the past two weeks. The unit looked good in the first half against the Broncos, but allowed 30 points in the second half. The Eagles should not replicate that output, so the Rams are a good, cheap option this week.
