Godzilla's Full NFL Week 2 Card
John Fredericks grades all 15 Week 2 games, backs the Commanders as his best bet, and takes his season record to 12-5 against the spread.
Godzilla Game DayFifteen more games on the board, and Godzilla is on every one. The season opened 11-5 against the spread, and Thursday night's best bet, Bills -5.5, cashed too, so we're 12-5 heading into Week 2. Less talk. More winners.
For all my picks every week, with the record attached and nothing scrubbed after the fact, come find me at GodzillaWins.com. And the desk here at Disruptor Sports has its own numbers on every one of these matchups on The Card, at disruptorsportsnation.com/picks.html, if you want a second read before you lay any money.
Bears -4.5 over Vikings. Who is stopping this Chicago offense? The Bears have become an absolute offensive juggernaut, and Minnesota is starting Carson Wentz in place of Kyler Murray. Chicago can attack through the air, pound the football and force Minnesota to chase points. The Bears keep the pedal down and turn Soldier Field into a track meet. Godzilla's pick: Bears -4.5.
Bengals +2.5 over Texans. Houston is overrated, banged up and missing Nico Collins, its most dangerous receiving weapon. Cincinnati's offense has too much talent to remain quiet for long. When the fourth quarter arrives, who do you want with the football, Joe Burrow or C.J. Stroud? Give Godzilla Joey B and the points. Godzilla's pick: Bengals +2.5.
Steelers +5.5 over Patriots. The Steelers drag everybody into an alley fight and keep games close. Their defense creates pressure, forces mistakes and prevents opponents from getting comfortable. New England is receiving entirely too much respect after last year's powder-puff schedule. Mike McCarthy getting nearly six points? Thank you very much. Godzilla's pick: Steelers +5.5.
Eagles -7 over Titans. I love the Titans, but this franchise is an embarrassing clown car. Tennessee cannot block, cannot tackle, and now gets Saquon Barkley bearing down on it. Philadelphia owns the trenches, and Jalen Hurts gives the Titans another running threat they must contain. The Eagles crush the worst franchise in football. It'll get ugly early. Godzilla's pick: Eagles -7.
Buccaneers -8.5 over Browns. Cleveland is rebuilding, and it looks like it. Tampa Bay has too many weapons, too much quarterback stability and too much firepower. Once the Buccaneers establish the lead, Cleveland does not have the offense to keep pace. The Browns arrive with a hard hat. The Buccaneers bring a wrecking ball. Time for Shedeur Sanders under center? Godzilla's pick: Buccaneers -8.5.
Falcons +2.5 over Panthers. Atlanta is better than people think. Bijan Robinson should run wild. The Falcons' defense is solid, and Cooper Rush will improve after that ugly opener. If Atlanta controls the line of scrimmage and protects the football, the Panthers will struggle to generate separation. Carolina shouldn't be favored here. The Dirty Birds can win this division. Godzilla's pick: Falcons +2.5.
Saints +8.5 over Ravens. Kellen Moore may have a generational quarterback developing in Tyler Shough, and New Orleans nearly stole that opener in Detroit. Chris Olave gives this offense real explosion, while Alvin Kamara adds another weapon. Baltimore's defense has questions, making eight and a half points far too many. Godzilla's pick: Saints +8.5.
Packers -3.5 over Jets. Congratulations, New York, you beat the Titans. Should we schedule the parade? Green Bay is not opening 0-2, and the Packers are considerably better at quarterback, coaching and roster depth. Expect Green Bay to respond with urgency and expose what that Jets victory was really worth. Nothing. Godzilla's pick: Packers -3.5.
Chargers -6.5 over Raiders. Apparently, somebody died after writing off the Chargers following one bad game. Sorry I missed the funeral. One loss to Arizona does not erase the talent on this Los Angeles roster, or suddenly turn the Raiders into contenders. Kirk Cousins can manage a game, but the Chargers can pressure him and contain Ashton Jeanty. Los Angeles comes roaring back. Bolts bounce back. Godzilla's pick: Chargers -6.5.
Broncos -2.5 over Jaguars. One of my two best bets. Denver was embarrassed in Week 1, and now the Broncos return home angry. And violent. That defense will attack Jacksonville from the opening snap and force its offense into uncomfortable situations. The altitude and home crowd only increase the pressure. Godzilla expects a full-force, angry Mile High response. Godzilla's pick: Broncos -2.5.
Seahawks -3.5 over Cardinals. Seriously? One game suddenly defines the Cardinals' entire season? The Seahawks remain the deeper, tougher team, with enough defensive speed to disrupt Arizona's rhythm. Seattle knows another flat performance, like the one they had in their win over the Patriots, would create an early-season crisis. Godzilla is buying the Seahawks, getting serious before the market remembers it. This game should be a touchdown. Godzilla's pick: Seahawks -3.5.
Commanders +3.5 over Cowboys (Best Bet). Washington is the NFL's shock team of 2026. That defensive front is beastly, Jayden Daniels is back, and this offense can score. Daniels gives Dallas problems with his arm and his legs, while Washington's pressure can wreck the Cowboys' timing. Dallas has enjoyed a preseason of hype, but in Tom Coughlin's famous words, "Talk is cheap. Play the game." Godzilla's best bet: Commanders +3.5.
49ers -13.5 over Dolphins. Miami is a sad football team trapped in a complete rebuild. San Francisco owns massive advantages in talent, physicality and coaching. The 49ers can dominate the trenches, control possession and make Miami's offense fight for every yard. It's a huge number because the gap between these teams is huge. Godzilla's pick: 49ers -13.5.
Chiefs -6.5 over Colts. Why stop backing Kansas City now? As Mark Twain is often quoted, reports of his death were greatly exaggerated. Indianapolis is smoke and mirrors, while Patrick Mahomes remains the most dangerous problem-solver in football. When the Chiefs need a decisive drive, Godzilla trusts Mahomes, not the Colts. Godzilla's pick: Chiefs -6.5.
Rams -7 over Giants. Bill Parcells said you are what your record says you are, unless you just flew to Australia, played without sleep and came home exhausted. The Rams are much better than their opener suggested, and Sean McVay will have them prepared to respond. Los Angeles owns the superior offense, quarterback and coaching staff. The Giants are exactly what we thought they were. Godzilla's pick: Rams -7.
